I took some photos of the behind the scenes.
We took a photo with the German model Franzi Mueller, she is also a runway model. Look how tall she is!
The sandals that she is wearing are Geisha sandals by Prada.
Sueko did not do only the kimono styling yet worked on the model's posing too.
It was a photographer's request that he wanted to feel Japanese vibes in the photo.
We're done an editorial photo shoot for Australian BAZAAR which is one of major fashion magazines in Australia.
The photographer was Nancy Schoenmakers who come from Amsterdam living in N.Y.C.
She usually works with famous fashion magazines and commercial companies.
We can't upload the photos because our works didn't come out yet.
Here're the behind the scenes.
Costume designer Sueko Oshimoto was interviewed by L.A Fashion Week.
They are really interested in her kimono costumes which are victorian long dress & stage costume for dancers.
They interviewed her about her works concept and herself as costume designer.
What is the most important thing to design costumes for you?
What is a kimono for yourself?
What does KIMONO SK do in the entertainment industry?...
We enjoyed a moment with them to take videos and photos.
She said that the most inportant thing when I design a costume is to take care of each model's great personality and to complement it.
The color match is different depending on the model, height, facial features, atmosphere and aura.
The world famous french stylist Sissy Vian brought Paris Collection items to Hollywood right after the Paris Collection. She'd like to mix them with Japanese Kimono for VOGUE Japan shoot and she found out Sueko who is Kimono Artist and the president of KIMONO SK.
They create new style using our kimono and obi.
Sueko Oshimoto is a kimono master and costume designer, Kentaro Terra is a kimono stylist and photographer. They've started KIMONO SK in 2010.
