The Buptist church in Cerritos, CA held a fundraising for Japan relief and we provided a Kimono demonstration which is how to dress a Furisode means a long sleeves kimono and how to tie a obi means sash. Done! This fundraising is for sending 6 young volunteers to recovery Sendai pref. and Fukushima pref, Japan. They are the volunteers, one of them will stay for one year to help as a nurse. We are so honored to meet a lot of people through fundraising events. We hope that the wishes of volunteers who are working hard in the world get through to sufferer. Also, we hope that lots of people like Japan through a kimono.

Sinem Saniye who came from N.Y.C had Charity concert at 「The Hotel Cafe」 in Hollywood. She was born in Turkey and grew up in New York. She sent email us to wear a Kimono at her concert then we supported her as Kimono stylist. Sinem Saniye, from New York She is a famous folk singer and to come L.A. only for this concert.
Her warm and heart reach Japanese people has affected and we really hope the day will come when people can live in peace as soon as possible. 「SUKIYAKI song ~上を向いて歩こう~」 by,Sinem Saniye We met many wonderful people at this charity concert. We have helped for "Hope For Sendai" at East Los Angeles College. We hold our kimono fashion show and kimono dressing demonstration. Sueko is with Terry Hara, a deputy chief of LAPD, and our fashion show models.
July 31, last month in Los Angeles California State University, East Japan earthquake charity event was held.
「HOPE FOR SENDAI」TV Features. 7.31.2011 「HOPE FOR SENDAI」 TV Feature ~Sumera Rokita, Documentary~ The five schools combined private high schools Charity Cultural Festival by high school students was held at the Torrance. KIMONO SK had the "Dressing Experience Booth". Visitors enjoyed the food booths and live by high school students. All sales on this day as the donations were donated to the Japanese Consulate in Los Angeles. Yuma-kun who is high school representatives, organizers of this event was handed over representative from the consulate.
We appreciate to give us opportunity to help Japan by our technology Students were also wearing Kimono the first time experience and I think "Dressing Experience Booth" is a great success. Gonpachi has held a charity event for Japan relief in Torrance. We provided kimono costumes for "Death Mask" which is a modern NO performance by Serena Okamoto.
On March 4, Miss Asia USA, Mrs Asia USA and Miss Latina Global belonging Virgelia Productions organized a charity luncheon for the purpose of collecting donations Tohoku earthquake with World Vision which is International non-profit organization in conjunction. Fashion show was held with representatives of models from country. We proudly showing off lovely kimonos and other 10's. In the event that a charity for those affected by the earthquake, we had received particular attention JAPAN. The beauty of fashion clothing from the floor, I received a lot of excited voices from the floor and models. Because Kimonos are the beauty of fashion clothing. The future, Japan will recover earthquake victims and safe living environment. I think now is the most difficult time for that.
We can not help lend a direct hand them. But there are many things we can do for Japan from the U.S.. like this charity events. I sincerely hope to recovery from disaster as soon as possible.
