Yamano Kimono Beauty School
Certified by the Yamano-ryu School of Yoyogi, Japan, our Los Angeles branch is dedicated to spreading authentic kimono culture.
We teach the same curriculum as in Japan, allowing students to learn kimono dressing techniques from the basics to advanced levels.
The courses are divided into Shoden, Chuden, and Okuden, with class times adjusted according to each student’s progress.
We also focus on training future professional kimono instructors. Every year, assessments are held in Los Angeles with the participation of Ms. Aiko Yamano Jane Soke from Japan. In 2024, five students passed the assessment and earned certification as kimono dressing instructors.
To date, we have produced about 100 certified kimono instructors in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, Utah. This is an international qualification approved by the International Beauty Association, enabling graduates to work as kimono stylists and instructors worldwide.
We believe it is essential to train instructors with the correct knowledge and skills, and we are committed to contributing to the growth and global appreciation of authentic kimono culture.
